Mr. Heah’s Update, May 14, 2020

Dear St. Patrick’s Parents,

Please take note of the following items:

Gr. 5 May Assembly:

Thank you so much to Ms. Hargrave and the Gr. 5 class for putting together a virtual May assembly for us! What a wonderful way to keep our community connected during this time – please make sure you take the time to watch the assembly with your family over the long weekend!

May photos:

I have only received a handful of photos so far for May. Please make sure to email me ([email protected]) your photos for our May slideshow!

Return to School:

Premier John Horgan and the Minister of Education Rob Fleming will be unrolling the return to school plan tomorrow at a press conference. I am working with direction from the Ministry of Education, Fraser Health, C.I.S.V.A. and W.C.B. on putting together safety procedures to ensure the health and safety of all of our staff and students. Once these are completed I will share them with you. There will be more information coming next week regarding a return date, what school will look like, along with a parent survey to see who is planning to send their child(ren) back to school.

Long Weekend:

This is a long weekend coming up. Please note that there will be no school tomorrow (day-in-lieu for staff), Monday (Victoria Day) or Tuesday (Walk-a-thon day off). Teachers will not be posting any work or conducting any Zoom meetings. These are days off for everyone to relax and enjoy time with family. I want to acknowledge the hard work by all of our staff these past few weeks. Our teachers have been putting in very long hours with their remote teaching, and they are to be commended on their effort and dedication in trying to provide our students with the best education and connectedness given the current situation. Thank you staff!

Have a restful and enjoyable long weekend!

God bless,
