  • A BIG thank you to all the parents that came to our Back to School Dinner & Curriculum Night. It was a wonderful community builder. Another very BIG thank you to the Welcoming Committee for their effort in organizing and preparing the dinner, and to our staff for their help. Feedback is always welcomed!
  • We are making every effort to provide our students with the adequate amount of fresh air and exercise; therefore we ask that you please ensure your child is dressed for the weather. Unless it is raining heavily, the students will go outside during recess.
  • A reminder that if you do not wish for your child to attend Mrs. Homme’s funeral, please keep them home in the morning and send them after lunch for our Terry Fox Walk.Parents are welcome to attend the funeral with their children.
  • Terry Fox Run permission forms need to be submitted in order for students to take part. Please remember to bring a small donation of a loonie or toonie for the Terry Fox Foundation.
  • It was Mrs. Homme’s wish that every student receives a cookie after her funeral service. We will be handing them out at then end of the day. Cookies may contain nuts, however there are no actual nuts in them. INGREDIENTS are in no particular order; Sugar, Margarine, Salt, Eggs, Flour & Baking Soda
  • Cross Country News: The Cross Country Team has been practicing very hard these last few weeks. It is great to see how many students have joined this year! We will be attending two meets this fall. The CISVA Meet is on October 5th.  This Meet is for Grades 2-7. Only the 4 fastest runners for each grade boys/girls will be selected for this meet. Try outs will be on Tuesday, September 27th.   A more detailed note will be coming out later next week. The second meet is the District 42 Meet. The whole Cross Country Team will be going to this Meet. Unfortunately the Intermediate race is on October 17th, which is a Pro D Day, but if there is enough interest we will still go. The Primary Meet is on Tuesday, October 18th. Notes for these meets will be sent home at a later date.
  • Please remember to fill out the weekly tally slip and send to school on Monday (do not send money until after the Walk-a-thon). As well, we are still in need of many small and big prizes for our Walk-a-thon. If you have any prize donations, please bring them to the office (any prizes are appreciated!). Thank you to our generous donors who have sponsored our t-shirts for the students!
  • Health newsPlease take a few minutes on a weekly basis to check your child’s hair for lice or nits. The key to keeping our school lice-free is for parents to be proactive and check their children’s hair regularly.
  • Please be reminded that criminal record checks and driver abstracts (back 10 years) need to be completed for all parents that are volunteering/participating during school time, and for parents that will be driving for school events. The links once again are:
