Dear Parents,
1. Thank you SO much for taking the time to come to our parade yesterday! We were all so touched by the many messages of love from your children and yourselves. It was truly such a blessing to see how, during this challenging time, everyone came together in community in such a beautiful way – we miss your children very much!! I have lots of photos and videos from yesterday that I will be adding to the slide show next week.
2. Please remember to send me your photos of your children working / playing / caring at home so I can add them to the slideshow. You have until Friday to email them directly to me at [email protected].
3. We are still waiting to get the Enterprise version of Zoom, however it is taking the Ministry longer than expected to get the licensing in place. In the meantime, teachers will continue using Google Meets, and in some cases where one to one sessions are happening, and with permission from parents, Zoom meetings can still happen. Please be assured that teachers are taking the proper security measures to maintain the proper levels of privacy when interacting with your child.
4. Several parents have asked about the chances of returning to school before the end of the year. You may have heard on the news in the last two days that there is talk about a possible return to school before the end of the year. Please understand that these are only preliminary discussions taking place between the Minister of Education and the Provincial Health Officer, and to my knowledge nothing has been confirmed. Should there be a decision to return to school prior to the end of the school year, it would look very different, with various accommodations put into place to maintain safety measures. I will continue to keep you up to date on information as I receive it.
Thank you to all of you for your continued support and many positive and encouraging emails over the past two weeks. It means a lot for our staff to know that their hard work is being appreciated!
