Hello dear parents!
What a glorious day it is today 🙂 A few things to take note of:
1. It is Education Week here in the province of B.C., and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our amazing staff for everything they do. The past three weeks have been a whirlwind, and for the majority of our staff, Spring Break was cut short as everyone scrambled to try and get on board with planning for remote learning. What a fabulous job our staff has done! Thank you to all of you who have been sending messages of appreciation – I share them with staff and they love reading them.
2. If you have photos to share, please send them to me directly at [email protected]. We are having issues with forwarding photos from the school email to my email, and I want to make sure to get all of the great photos you are sending in! Please make sure to send in any photos you would like to share by next Friday, April 24th.
3. We are planning to have a special “Drive-by Parade” on Monday, April 20 from 12:45pm to 1:45pm. Our staff will be lining up along 121st Avenue to say “Hi” and cheer on our students. We are asking that you take a few minutes to drive by with your child(ren) and allow us to celebrate with them, even if only through a car window at 6 feet away. Since this is a school day, I have asked the teachers to hold off/lighten the afternoon load so that you can take the time with your child(ren) to come and visit. I hope that these few minutes of connectedness will bring your children and our staff some joy 🙂
