Letter to Parents from Mrs. Fonseca

September 17, 2020

Dear Families,

This afternoon at approximately 2pm, we received a call from District 42 and the RCMP office informing us of a police incident in the vicinity and we were put in lockdown. In this instance, we were directed to keep all the students and staff in the buildings until we were otherwise notified.

Our staff know the procedures and were able to secure the buildings immediately. I want to commend them for their calm and nurturing nature during this time.

I want to thank you for your patience throughout the incident and reassure you that the children and staff were safe. Please talk to your children and let them know that they were in no immediate danger and that we were safe. Tomorrow morning, I will talk with all the classes.

Please check your emails instructing you to sign up for the Remind App, as it is the easiest way to inform you quickly should emergencies or school closures arise in the future.

God Bless,

Mrs. Maria Fonseca

Principal
