Today we celebrate the Feast of the Guardian Angels! At today’s mass, Father Matthew reminded us that feast days are celebration days! I hope you take the time to pray to the Archangels, Michael, Gabriel & Raphael and to celebrate!

Angel of God, my guardian dear,

To whom God’s love commits me here,

Ever this day, be at my side,

To light and guard, Rule and guide.

Our Annual Fitness-A-Thon Fundraiser is close by! Please help us raise funds for technology upgrades, sports equipment and resources! Our goal this year is $18, 000 which works out to $75 per student!

IMPORTANT Parent Participation Information

A word from the PEC:

As you are aware, our school has moved to OnVolunteer to track and manage our parent participation hours.

While we anticipate this to be of great benefit to our school, we are aware that there are still a few wrinkles in the system that need to be worked out. We want to thank you in advance for your patience and support.

Moving to OnVolunteer has given clarity to the disparity of hours with specific assignments. We still, however, expect all parents to contribute a total of 50 hours for the year. If you are assigned a task and it does not add up to 50 hours, please sign up for additional tasks on the portal as tasks pop up.

With OnVolunteer we see the opportunity to create ad hoc tasks that parents can pick up, and we are working towards an effective and efficient way to do this.

September was a bit of a grace period with check-ins and check-outs as the system was new for us all. Moving forward, to ensure you are credited your hours, please use the check-in/check-out portal IN THE SCHOOL OFFICE, during school hours. When the office is closed, you must check in and out with your team lead. Any “no shows” will be charged for the missing hours.

Hot Lunch Order is LIVE- Due Oct. 4

The Hot Lunch Order Forms for October are live.

They CLOSE on Wednesday, October 4th at 5pm.

Drive Thru Lane

PLEASE DO NOT PARK AND LEAVE YOUR VEHICLES in the drive-thru lane at ANY TIME. If your child needs help getting in and out of the vehicle, you will need to park in the parking lot behind the rectory in the church. If you have other people dropping off or picking up your child, please make sure they know the rules.

This is also an emergency vehicle lane. In the event of an emergency, we need to be able to clear the area IMMEDIATELY.

DO NOT park along the blue fence in the alley. This is NOT a parking lane as it blocks the alley for traffic.

Food Bank Donations- Oct. 6

We only have one mass in October due to the schedule. We are collecting Food Bank donations ahead of Thanksgiving. Thank you for your generosity.

Here is a list of the top items that food banks are most in need of:

1. Canned protein (Fish & meat)
2. Canned fruit
3. Canned vegetables
4. Meals in a Tin (e.g. Pork n’ Beans or Stew)
5. Whole grain rice
6. Pasta and pasta sauce
7. Healthy canned soups
8. Baby formula (large cans)
