Mr. Heah’s Update, May 7, 2020

Dear Parents,

Please take note of the following items:

1. Return to School

Many of you tuned in yesterday to Premier Horgan’s address. Unfortunately, it did not provide us with a lot of clarity around return-to-school specifics. Our C.I.S.V.A. Superintendent’s Office will be sending out a statement to all C.I.S.V.A. school communities in the next day or two. Stay tuned.

2. May Photos

I will be putting together a May slideshow, so please keep sending me photos of your children learning, helping and playing at home! Thank you to all of you for your positive feedback from the last slideshow. It is evident that everyone misses each other greatly!

3. Live Rosary

Please join me tomorrow, Friday May 8th at 1:30pm for a live Rosary. Students are asked to have a rosary ready and find a quiet place where they can join in without interruption. All family members are welcome and encouraged to join in! In order to minimize the noise level, please ensure that you are on mute when you join. Families are asked to join a couple of minutes early so we can start on time. Barring any internet issues at my home, this should be a wonderful event where we all get to join in community and pray.

Topic: Live Rosary

4. Parenting During a Pandemic Zoom Webinar

The Archdiocese is hosting a webinar for parents with Dr. Deborah McNamara. Dr. McNamara is an excellent speaker and expert in the field and I would highly recommend registering for this event. The current pandemic has certainly added some extra challenges for parents! Please follow the link to register: https://rcav.org/event/parenting-in-a-pandemic-what-matters-most/

5. Upcoming Non-instructional Days

May 15th is a day in lieu for staff, May 18th is Victoria Day, and May 19th is a day off for our Walk-a-thon prize. These will be non- instructional days for students and staff. Please take these days to enjoy the beautiful weather and do some fun family things together!

I pray that this email finds you in good health and good spirits!

God bless,Clive Heah| Principal
