Walk with Jesus our Living Hope

June 11, 2021

He also said, ‘What can we say that the kingdom is like? What parable can we find for it? It is like a mustard seed which, at the time of its sowing, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth. Yet once it is sown it grows into the biggest shrub of them all and puts out big branches so that the birds of the air can shelter in its shade.’ Mark 4: 30-32

Dear Families,

Winding down our school year feels a little bit underwhelming without the hustle and bustle of track meets, spring concerts and end the year get togethers. I have to commend the staff on their creativity in coming up with “in-school” field trips so our students can end the year off in a fun way. As always, I want to thank you, our families, for all you do in keeping our community healthy.

Just like the Gospel this Sunday, I feel like the teachers have been planting these seeds this year. For some students, teachers see the benefits immediately; for others, it takes time. It takes more nurturing before we see them blossom but every child, every student has the potential. That’s what keeps us coming back every day to our jobs. When the day ends off less than positively, we hang on to the hope and optimism and we try again the next day.

The same thing can also be said with parenting. Not every moment is Instagram-worthy and even those moments are often staged! We are in it for the long-haul and with God’s blessings and graces, we see our children blossom into the people He created them to be.

Let us enjoy the more quiet end of our year together. Soon enough we will be back to the hustle and bustle of a busier time!

Yours In Christ,

Mrs. Maria Fonseca
