Celtics Chatter – Friday, February 23, 2024

Dear Families,

A BIG Congratulations to our students who received their First Reconciliation this week. It is such a blessing to witness the students as they leave the confessional with huge grins on their faces. Thank you to Father Matthew, Father Edwin and the staff who helped prepare our students.

Prayer for the Second Week of Lent
Loving God,

there is so much darkness in my life
and I hide from you.
Take my hand
and lead me out of the shadows of my fear.
Help me to change my heart.
Bring me to your truth
and help me to respond to your generous love.
Let me recognize the fullness of your love
which will fill my life.
Free me from the darkness in my heart.

Yours In Christ,

Mrs. Fonseca

Basketball Playoffs!

Come and cheer on the Celtics during our home games!

Monday- Grade 7 Boys vs. Cloverdale Catholic

Tuesday- Grade 6 Girls vs. Star of the Sea

Wednesday- Gr 6 Boys away at St. Matthew’s

Please remember that our coaches and refs are volunteers. The final say rests with the referees, and they are to be respected by players, coaches, and spectators.

Lunch Drop Offs

We are seeing an unusual number of lunches being dropped off before noon. It is taking a lot of time from the office to deliver them or call the students down. Please note that we will not be calling students down to pick up lunches. If you bring a lunch for your child, please deposit them outside the office LABELLED with your child’s name and grade. Your child can come down and check for their lunch after the recess bell rings.

If lunch has been forgotten at home, you will still receive a phone call from the office.

Celtics Day- Non Uniform- Feb. 29

Just a reminder that on Celtics Day (non-uniform days on the last day of the month), we collect a small donation for various Catholic charities. Please ensure to send a donation of a $1 with your child.

Next Celtics Day is on Feb. 29, and the theme is Jersey Day.

Income Tax Receipts

Your income tax receipt is available for pick up at the office! Please come and get them.

If you prefer that we send it home with your child, email Mrs. Rieu at [email protected].
