Walk with Jesus our Living Hope

February 10, 2021

A leper came to Jesus and kneeling down begged him and said, “If you wish, you can make me clean.” Moved with pity, he stretched out his hand, touched him, and said to him, “I do will it. Be made clean.” Mark 1: 40 – 41

Dear Families,

My sincere gratitude to the community as we celebrated Catholic Schools Week. The staff and students were joyful and we were able to reflect on what makes our school truly unique.

Due to COVID is our annual Catholic Educators Conference is taking on a different shape. I really look forward to these two days as a chance to spend time with staff and to catch up with former colleagues and friends. Unfortunately, this year we are doing it virtually from home. I pray that next year, we will have the chance to celebrate Catholic Education together. There is something so powerful in celebrating Mass with the Archbishop in a convention Center filled with hundreds of like-minded and faith filled educators.

We hope you have an opportunity to spend time together as a family during this extra long weekend, but please be cognizant of the Public Health Officer’s orders and recommendations so we can all return to school healthy and safe next week.

Yours In Christ,

Mrs. Maria Fonseca

What’s New?

Lent

Shrove Tuesday: We are having a walk-though pancake breakfast sponsored by the St. Patrick’s Knight’s of Columbus. Each class will walk through a service line outside and receive a plate with pancakes. Our Hot Lunch volunteers will add syrup to the plates. Students will then take their plates and eat in the classrooms. We ask that you please send utensils from home. If your child cannot eat the pancakes we are serving, please send something for your child to eat instead.

Ash Wednesday: This is time of sacrifice and remembering what Jesus did for us. We ask that on this day of abstaining, please send a limited lunch without treats. For example, a bun or crackers with cheese, fruit or veggies and water.

We have a virtual Mass at 9:15 am and ashes will be distributed afterwards outside the church.
